EPC’s

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) / Predicted Energy Assessment (PEA) gives homeowners, tenants and buyers information on the energy and carbon emission efficiency of a property through an A – G grade rating, where A is very efficient and G is least efficient. The EPC also gives advice on cost effective ways to improve the rating. The EPC shows two graphs; one being the energy efficient rating and the second being the environmental impact rating both will show the potential rating the property can achieve if all measures were installed. For new homes sold off-plan from our estate agents in Leicester the requirement is to include a PEA, which should be replaced by a full EPC when the home is built. EPC’s are what potential buyers look at to save the most money on the bills but at the same time try and cause the least amount of damage to the environment.
